The Harrison is an historical property built in 1915 by James Wright Harrison! Whether you are traveling to Waxahachie, Texas for a weekend get-a-way, business meetings, passing through town or have a need for extended stay lodging, The Harrison can provide that service for you. We have been noted as one of Country Inn magazines Top Affordable Luxuries of 1997...a member of Historic Accommodations of Texas...featured on Good Morning Texas ....and April 19, 1999 Time magazine.

Enjoy a cool beverage and home baked cookies while discovering our lovely grounds and large covered Veranda. The Grand Hall, Music Room, Study, and Sun Porch all have a British air of elegance yet cozy enough to curl up with a good book or just enjoy a pleasant cat nap! Outdoors you'll find a hot tub to sooth away tiredness and the rooms are furnished with robes in which to comfortably wrap up. All of our rooms have cable television and cd/radio. In the morning you will find a tray of coffee and condiments right outside your bedroom door...followed by a delicious specially prepared full breakfast at mid-morning.

Well behaved children are welcome, but please no pets...Ivanhoe, is our well behaved (part of the family) little son..I mean d.o.g...You will love him and I am sure that we would love your pets too, but please have thoughtful consideration for our policy! Major credit cards accepted. We are a non smoking-inside facility but it is permited outside on the veranda or Rendezvous porch.

Waxahachie is noted as being one of Texas' most historic towns. It has more homes with historic markers than anywhere else in Texas! Lovely antique and gift shops, incredible restaurants all within walking distance of The Harrison. Our weekend rates vary from $130 to $170 (13% hotel tax applicable.)
